Vox Maris is a complete maritime communications simulator of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety. GMDSS is a worldwide network of automated emergency communications for ships at sea that offers sailors a series of media so that, facing an emergency situation in a ship, they can give notice to search and rescue authorities ashore and nearby ships, so that assistance is provided through coordinated SAR operations with minimum delay. To do this in real life, communication devices are used mainly based on radio (VHF, MF, HF radio telex) and satellite technologies (Inmarsat, satellite EPIRB), among others.

Vox Maris simulates features of 14 GMDSS communication devices found on ships and shore stations anywhere in the world, simulating conditions affecting communications at sea (noise, degradation by distance, sound effects of different types of communication). With a large number of licenses distributed around the world (Spain, Poland, Australia, Argentina), Vox Maris is now considered one of the world best GMDSS simulators.
